Nap-Inducing Lulling Robes : ZZZN Sleep Apparel System

Japanese creative firm Konel has created the ZZZN Sleep Apparel System, which is a sleepwear concept that utilizes sound and lighting to promote sleep. It better understands users by measuring biometric data. The system was presented at Milan Design Week with the collaborative efforts of NTT DX Partner and Soxai. It is all a part of a project aimed at improving the sleep habits of Japan.
Konel’s concept aims to encourage more power naps, which have been proven to help with alertness, mood, and overall performance for those who are lacking sleep. The ZZZN Sleep Apparel System gathers data, including the Soxai Ring 1 smart ring, to check sleep patterns, stress, and heart rate.
The studio explained, “In today’s hyper-connected society, where we are always online, the time we spend truly offline – both mentally and physically – is rapidly shrinking. ZZZN Sleep Apparel System introduces a new approach to rest: disconnect to recover,” the studio suggested, adding that their data-driven approach “helps individuals to return naturally to health”.
