Illusory Floating Turntables : Audio-Technica Hotaru

The Audio-Technica Hotaru turntable was debuted by the brand at Milan Design Week 2025 as an illusory piece of home audio equipment that’s engineered with style and performance in mind. The turntable is constructed with an upper section that will float above the base thanks to a series of magnets, while this also helps to dampen vibrations for an ultra-crisp playback experience. The upper section also glows from the inside thanks to a color-changing system, which will give it an illusory, almost ghostly appearance when in use.

The Audio-Technica Hotaru turntable is limited to just 1,000 examples that will be available for $9,999 each and are expected to start shipping in October 2025. The turntable is available now for preorder until May 30, 2025.
