Console Exclusive Roguelike Games : hades ii switch

Supergiant Games has announced that “Hades 2,” the sequel to its critically acclaimed roguelike game, will be launching on both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This marks the first console release for the game, which has been in early access on PC since May 2024. The developers have emphasized their commitment to optimizing the game for the enhanced hardware capabilities of the Switch 2, aiming for a consistent 60 frames per second performance. The game will also be available on the original Nintendo Switch, ensuring accessibility for players who have not yet upgraded to the new console.

The narrative of “Hades 2” centers on Melinoë, the younger sister of Zagreus, as she embarks on a journey to confront the Titan of Time. Supergiant Games has expanded the scope of the game, introducing new gods, weapons, and bosses while maintaining the core gameplay mechanics that made its predecessor a success. The decision to launch the game first on Nintendo consoles reflects the strong relationship between Supergiant Games and Nintendo, as the original “Hades” also debuted on the Switch before being ported to other platforms. A release date for the full version of “Hades 2” has not yet been confirmed.
