I connected the camera to my flashforge ad5m and then booted it up. within a few seconds, i smelled something burning. i immediately shut off the printer and unplugged it. i then investigated. i didn't see any signs of damage at first, so i pulled the camera out of the frame and looked it over. i found some of the worst solder joints i have ever seen in a piece of consumer grade technology. i then tried to boot the printer without the camera, and it booted up and works, but the options for enabling a camera are no longer present in the menu. this camera smoked the circuit, literally, that is responsible for allowing a camera to work with the firmware. i highly suggest that buyers beware.
The camera works, but it took me a while to figure it out because at first it didn't work, but when I looked at the image I saw that there was a cable that wasn't connected, so I cut the cable and soldered it back in, and then it worked. I didn't ask for a refund or anything because it's only 8 dollars. I just recommend that if you don't want the same thing to happen to you like it did to me, then buy the original one or take the risk, that's all.
It's just the cable, but good quality
This is misleading. the “kit” on the website includes a camera but i was only sent a cable.
