Functionality should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The e-2008 (2026) model is not compatible with the front camera: the heat from the radiator causes constant fogging. Even under ideal conditions (27 ° C, 56% relative humidity), condensation forms on the visor after a few minutes of daytime driving, impairing visibility. At the rear, the problem does not occur, but the dome must be positioned precisely so as not to lose definition in the lower part of the image, the part that frames the bumper. The camera is also embedded in smooth plastic, to which the adhesive adheres too well: when removing or repositioning the dome, residue remains that needs to be removed with isopropyl alcohol. It's better to replace it first with a 3M tape for smooth plastic surfaces that doesn't leave any residue. The effectiveness seems good: permanent water droplets disappear with the rain, but the durability needs to be tested in heavy rain, long highway drives, and car washes.
