Great sounds for the price!
Excellent iems, now i am just waiting for xz10 to arrive for complete experience...
The gk kunten is an energetic budget single dd with an impressively deep, punchy sub-bass that stays remarkably clean without distorting. however, it sports a distinct upper-mid forwardness that makes female vocals sound pretty shouty and sibilant, whereas male vocals sound much more natural. despite the semi-open back design, the soundstage feels surprisingly tight and intimate. it handles simpler tracks beautifully, letting you pick out individual bass and guitar notes easily, but it struggles with complex, busy tracks; heavy metal blast beats will mask the bass guitar, and fast cymbals can lose their definition and blend into a wall of noise. it's a fantastic, fun pick for electronic music or simpler acoustic tracks, but it might overwhelm you if your library is packed with complex rock or intense metal mixes.
Competent, exceptional for the price, but let's be realistic : this will never sound even like a 50$ multi- driver iem that is not badly tuned. nice harman tuning with boosted bass and treble, a daily commuter for sure. surprisingly the small case doesn't make it comfortable to wear - at least on my ears. bigger cases fit me better, this one is being pulled out by the wire - which is an abysmal cr@p even at the low price. recommended as a backup or an iem that can take skm abuse without you caring much
