Pros: the device looks good. The screen is bright and crisp. Controls feel decent and the ergonomic build feels well designed for the size, i really like the grip. Cons: several of the buttons are clicky and the device rattles very loudly when shaken. Some of the game systems do not play well, i experienced distorted audio and slow or glitchy playback, some did not respond to control inputs accurately; several games are unplayable . Total games included falls significantly short of the advertised “16,000+””. In actuality, there are only 13,151, which is a deficit of 2,849 games (this sounds like a lot imho). The stock os returns a red error screen when trying to access some items from the options menu - i hope flashing a custom os/fw will fix some of these issues. Summary: i did not have high expectations due to k36 being an inexpensive entry-level handheld, but i cannot excuse any false advertising claims and am deeply unimpressed with faulty behavior from the system software.
