It's a bit... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Should I say that it depends on the memory...
It works, but it's a bit unclear.
I purchased it for testing laptop memory, but it was inconsistent in recognition, so I got a separate board.
Convert laptop SO-DIMM memory to desktop DIMM slots effortlessly. Supports DDR3, DDR4, DDR5 types with easy installation and durable design.
This adapter card enables you to use laptop SO-DIMM memory modules in desktop PCs, bridging the gap between different form factors and expanding upgrade possibilities. It is especially useful when replacing desktop memory is limited or costly, allowing reuse of existing laptop RAM.
Designed for hassle-free installation, this adapter requires no special skills and fits standard DIMM slots securely. Made with quality materials, it ensures stable connections and long-term durability for consistent computer performance.
Compatible with DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 memory types, this adapter supports multiple generations of laptop RAM. It addresses common compatibility issues between memory modules and motherboards, reducing hardware conflicts and boot failures.
Memory alarms and errors can occur due to poor contact or oxidation on gold fingers. Cleaning or applying protective adhesive on these contact points can improve performance. If problems persist, try swapping memory sticks or consider motherboard replacement as a last resort.
It supports DDR, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 memory types for SO-DIMM to PC DIMM conversion.
No, the adapter is simple and easy to install without requiring technical expertise.

Perfect for testing notebook memories on a PC, making work time much easier for those who work in maintenance.
Good
In case you missed this information: yes, it is used to adapt notebook memories to the Xeon kit! I tested it with the Machinist x99 and it showed video. But there's a catch: it's not just any memory that the processor recognizes, and I have no idea why. I tested a 4GB memory stick from a generic brand and it didn't display any video at all. When I was about to give up and blame the adapter, I tested another 8GB memory stick from Samsung, from my wife's laptop, and it worked! When I tested the two memory modules together (8GB from Samsung + 4GB generic), it still didn't work. Both memories were functional, so it seems to be a matter of luck or compatibility between the Xeon processor and the memory controllers of the motherboard you have at home. If you test it with yours and there's no video output, don't immediately blame the adapter; try other memory slots that might work. And remember that the Xeon kit only accepts single memory modules in slots 1 and 4. The 2 and 3 are only for quad band.
Excellent, it is currently working smoothly and I hope it continues without any issues.
