Discussion
Excellent product, arrived in perfect condition, very durable. Original product!
The quality is noticeable simply by touch. The adjustments are smooth and fluid, reaching even the edges of the current cameras.
I bought this to use with binoculars and it's really good. The downside is that it's a bit heavy and you have to tighten it tightly to hold a large, horizontal phone, but it does hold it in place, which is a bit of a shame. I heard there's a newer version of this, and I think that would be better. The design is similar, but it seems like the fixing method has changed.
This adapter worked much better than i expected. i used samsung s24 ultra on swift 400t microscope. clamps well, and stays put. as with any of these smartphones with multiple lenses, it takes a bit of a trial and error to find the correct position. the camera software tries to guess which lens, which means the phone can decide to use a different lens. the easiest thing to do is to use the "pro" mode, which stays put. the s24 ultra is also larger, and heavier, so it doesn't say 100% flat. the camera bumps are also more pronounced. i was a bit worried, but this does not seem to affect the stability a lot. i leave the adapter on the microscope, and it is easy enough to re-attach the phone when i need it. the adapter may need minor lateral adjustments, but it doesn't move much with the attaching and re-attaching every time. overall, happy with the product!
