It works perfectly in my ipod classic 120gb 6th gen. used it with 2 x 128gb micro sd cards. the connector takes the hdd cable from the ipod.
The type I purchased elsewhere couldn't be used, but this one worked without any problems. I used it with an iPod classic.
If the product works, I tested it on the 5th generation iPod Classic, but it only works in slot 1 for factory restoration.
Worked flawlessly for my ipod 5.5 gen, even with a sandisk microsd card. easy to put in, just make sure it is in the slot 1 (left).
