Totally useless & ive bought 4 of these useless things!, will not work with either cables i've bought (usb3-usbc)

Can only get it to work by including at least 2 'usb adapters' into the mix.

See photos of only way i can get this thing to work/connect to my computer -

Usb3-usbc cable (10gbps) cable + usbc-usb adapter (10gbps) + usb3-usbc adapter

It will not work without the 2 adapters! !
