Discussion
I'm already using it, everything is working perfectly.
In addition to the board, the kit also included a USB adapter and 2 meters of cable (one end is minifit like on the first generation ebb36, the other is like on the second generation, compatible with connectors like on the sht36 from Mellow). Quite unexpected and very relevant. All sockets have a 2mm pitch.
Btt manta e3ez with cm4 on the motherboard, ebb42 via can
I checked the official btt documentation.
For the ebb42 v1.1/v1.2 with stm32g0b1, btt explicitly specifies:
Mcu: stm32g0b1
Crystal: 8 mhz
Can via pb0/pb1
Can speed: 1 mbit/s.
V1.2.1 uses the same can configuration as v1.1; only the hotend output changed from pa2 to pb13.
And importantly: btt specifically provides firmware_canbus.bin for v1.1/v1.2.1 for this purpose. We used exactly that firmware and successfully verified it.
So: firmware configuration is not the suspect.
Our current results are now quite strong:

Shipped fast, and included programming kit. the board itself looks quite nice. the ebb 42 v2 is packed.
