Western Digital SN740 1TB 2TB M.2 2230 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD

The WD SN740 M.2 2230 SSD is engineered for devices with limited space such as portable gaming consoles like Steam Deck and ROG Ally, mini-PCs, and ultra-thin laptops where traditional 2280 SSDs do not fit.

Its compact 22mm x 30mm design maximizes storage density and performance in a minimal footprint, ideal for on-the-go gaming and computing.

Leverage the power of PCIe Gen4 x4 and NVMe 1.4 standards to enjoy sequential read speeds up to 5,150 MB/s and write speeds up to 4,900 MB/s.

These speeds ensure quick game loading, rapid application launches, and smooth multitasking even on resource-limited portable devices.

The SSD is designed for low power consumption and optimized heat dissipation, making it suitable for devices with passive cooling systems.

Low active and idle power draws help extend battery life on portable devices without sacrificing performance.

Compatible with popular devices such as Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Surface Pro 7+/X, Surface Laptop models, Dell notebooks with 2230 interface, and several other mini-PC and ultra-thin laptop models.

Note: Incompatible with Surface Pro 8 and Xbox expansion adapters due to stability concerns.

Use the WD Black SSD Dashboard software to monitor drive health, performance metrics, and handle firmware updates easily, ensuring your SSD stays running optimally.
