The tweeters arrived fairly fast. Good packaging & overall a nice looking product. Very suitable replacement for speakers with a small aperture opening. They sound nice & smooth .
I ran into issues, as i ordered the 8ohm version, whereas the original audax tw80 they replaced were 4 ohm. I halved the original capacitor in series from 6.8uf to 3.3uf, and they play well, but treble is still a little bright. Also playing music loud they can peak out, so buyers need to be aware of the power limitations.
I will experiment with 1ohm & 2 ohm resistors in series to lower the overall output of the tweeter.
Overall a nice product considering the price.
Not bad tweeters, the sound is like all silk tweeters, without any coloring. Replaced them with old Microlab Pro ones, had to trim the body a bit with a drill. Regarding the filter - removed the resistor, these tweeters have 4dB less sensitivity and replaced the 4.7mF capacitor with an 8.2mF one, also replaced the second capacitor with a 10mF one, lowered the cutoff frequency to 2.5kHz. The midrange appeared and the treble disappeared, the original treble drivers have gotten a bit tired after 20 years. =)
