Realme could be changing how it launches its flagship phones. According to a new leak, the company is planning to unveil both the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro together in October. This marks a shift from last year’s rollout, where the GT 7 Pro launched in November and the standard GT 7 arrived months later in May 2025.
The staggered launch last year created a noticeable gap in hardware. While the GT 7 Pro came with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the regular GT 7 settled for MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e. This time, Realme seems to be aiming for parity. Both the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro are expected to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) chipset.
The Realme GT 8 Pro is tipped to pack a flat 6.85-inch 2K OLED display from Samsung, complete with an anti-glare coating similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It may also house a massive 7,000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging. Moreover, the phone is said to feature a metal middle frame for added durability.
In the camera department, the GT 8 Pro could sport a 200MP Samsung’s HP9 periscope telephoto lens. This same sensor is rumored to appear on Oppo’s upcoming Find X9 Pro as well.
