OnePlus 15T may launch at a lower price than 13T, suggests new leak

OnePlus launched its compact flagship, the OnePlus 13T, earlier this year, and reports suggest that the company is already working on its successor. Surprisingly, the rumoured device is said to be cheaper than its predecessor. Now that’s something new, given brands usually increase the pricing on their latest iterations.

The leak comes from tipster Digital Chat Station, who revealed on Weibo that the OnePlus 15T will come at a “more attractive price” than the OnePlus 13T. For reference, the OnePlus 13T was launched at CNY 3,999 (roughly $470). Notably, the tipster didn’t explicitly mention that the phone is getting a price cut — it’s possible that the phone may just offer better value overall.

The OnePlus 13T received mixed reviews for its dual rear camera setup, lack of wireless charging, USB 2.0 port, and basic IP65 rating. The 15T is expected to address some of these shortcomings. It may feature a triple-camera setup with main, ultrawide, and telephoto lenses, along with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and support for wireless charging.

The phone is said to retain its 6.3-inch display from its predecessor. It might be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset. Moreover, the battery capacity could also see a major bump — with a 7,000mAh battery, up from the 13T’s 6,260mAh battery.
