YouTube is getting rid of the Trending Page that displayed the most popular videos on YouTube. The page, introduced 10 years ago, will now be replaced by YouTube Charts. Google said that visits to the Trending Page have declined drastically over the last five years, as users have begun discovering content through different places on the platform. Notably, the video platform will now display content-specific trending videos on YouTube Charts.
Google made the announcement via a blog published on the YouTube Help page. According to the blog, YouTube is removing the Trending Page along with its Trending Now list. This change will come into effect in the next couple of weeks. Gadgets360 spotted a note at the top of the blog which specifically mentioned, “Effective from July 21, 2025, the Trending page will be removed from YouTube.”

Moving forward, YouTube users will be able to find trending videos on YouTube Charts. However, this won’t be a general list like before. Instead, YouTube will serve content-specific trending videos. At this moment, the YouTube Charts are available only for YouTube Music. People can explore Trending Music Videos, Weekly Top Podcast Shows, and Trending Movies on YouTube Charts.
“Along with highlighting popular content in charts, we’ll keep showing viewers the videos that we think they’ll love through personalized recommendations. This way, we can show a wider range of popular content that’s relevant, and it feels more natural to how viewers already find new videos,” the blog post said.
YouTube further mentioned that they are committed to providing creators with tools to understand what’s popular with their unique audiences. For instance, the “Inspiration” tab in YouTube Studio will feed creators with “personalized ideas to help them spot the next big thing for their channel.” Moreover, it is also bringing a “Hype” feature that lets viewers amplify fresh videos they love.
