Meta recently teased its new smart glasses in collaboration with Oakley, a popular luxury sports eyewear maker. Not long after, the tech giant officially released the glasses. The product, dubbed Oakley Meta HSTN (pronounced “how-stuhn”), is aimed at athletes and sports enthusiasts. The Oakley Meta HSTN is priced at $499, while other models coming this summer will be available at $399.
Like the Meta Ray-Bans, these smart glasses are equipped with a front-facing camera, open-ear speakers, and microphones. You can use them to capture videos, listen to music, conduct phone calls, and chat with Meta AI. The device is also capable of answering questions based on what it sees through the camera and can also translate languages.

The Oakley Meta smart glasses feature a 12MP camera that supports video recording up to 3K resolution. This is a massive improvement over the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, which offered 1080p video recording. The glasses have a dedicated capture button that triggers recording. Interestingly, they also allow for first-person livestreaming on apps like Instagram.
Considering the device is created for sports enthusiasts, it comes with IPX4 dust and water resistance. The Oakley Meta HSTN claims to offer up to 8 hours of juice on a single charge and up to 48 hours with a case. They can be charged up to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.
Oakley Meta Glasses: Price and Availability
