Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming clamshell foldable device, Xiaomi Mix Flip 2. The device will arrive alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro on June 26, a teaser posted on Weibo revealed. The flip-style foldable phone is rumoured to be the only foldable device from the brand this year. Ahead of the launch, key details of the upcoming device have emerged. As per the leak, the Mix Flip 2 will sport a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 5100mAh battery.
The leak comes from tipster “The panda is very good,” who mentioned that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Meanwhile, the Mix Flip 2 is expected to feature a 5100mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. For comparison, the original Mix Flip came with a 4780mAh battery with similar charging support. The post added that the device will be offered in Cyan, Purple, Gold, and Black colour options.
Other leaks suggest that the phone will sport a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED inner screen and a 4.01-inch outer display. The device could be equipped with 50MP Leica-powered cameras. Additionally, it is said to get support for 50W wireless charging and an IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance.
The original Mix Flip features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It came with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, based on a 4nm manufacturing process and clocked at up to 3.3GHz. The phone is equipped with dual 50MP cameras and a 32MP selfie camera.
