    Vivo X Fold 5 set for debut on June 25 with Apple iCloud and AirPods support

    Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its book-style foldable phone, the Vivo X Fold 5. The phone is set to arrive later this month in three color options. Recently, Vivo dropped a teaser, revealing that the X Fold 5 is lighter than the current Vivo X Fold 3. Rumors suggest that the foldable phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery.

    Vivo posted on a Chinese social media platform to unveil the launch date. According to the post, the Vivo X Fold 5 will debut on June 25 at 19:00 (3 PM Dubai time). The teaser highlighted the phone’s slim design and mentioned that the device will be “lighter, stronger” than the X Fold 3.

    Vivo has also put up a landing page for pre-orders of the Vivo X Fold 5. The page showcases the phone with a large protruding circular camera module featuring Zeiss branding. Meanwhile, the cover display appears with minimal bezels and a punch-hole camera for selfies.

    The Vivo X Fold 5 will be available in three colorways: Green, Titanium, and White.

    Vivo’s Product Manager, Han Boxiao, stated that the X Fold 5 will be the first Android phone to directly connect to Apple’s iCloud. Users will be able to access iCloud directly from the phone’s file manager app. Additionally, it will function as an extended screen for MacBooks and support AirPods pairing.

    Vivo has already confirmed that the phone will feature 8T LTPO screens with high-frequency PWM dimming. Both panels will offer a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Moreover, the device will come with IP5X and IPX9+ ratings for dust and water resistance.

    According to previous leaks, the phone might measure 4.3mm when unfolded and weigh 209 grams. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The phone could pack a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 30W wireless charging.
